Got me beat -- I didn't arrive until 1986, and the mortar platoon was already in place, next door to the scouts. In fact, the scouts may have moved down after you left. Anyway, the HHC Commanders when I was there were CPT Sharpless and CPT Hutchins.
To add to your List, the Mortar Platoon SGT at that time was SFC Lisenby. Unfortunately I have forgotten his first name, and I should remember, I was the Plt Ldr.
Clyde Lizenby, that's the name you're after.
So, which platoon leader?
