1/39 Infantry: A Few More Names
Here are a few more names of fellows who were in 1/39 Infantry back at the end of the 1980s:

I don't know if anyone will remember him, but Sergeant Michael Prall, who was with B Company from 71-74 passed away in May 2006.
Yes, I remember SGT Prall. I was in his squad 1973-74. He used to tell us about his work as a LRRP in Viet Nam. After a few months, we became friends, and I used to tease him with the line: "What ya doin' Sarge? "Oh, I'm just prowlin' (Prallin') around!" He'd respond, "OK, knock off the bullshit and get back to work!" I found SGT Prall to be very level-headed, easy to work with, and generally a great guy. He was very professional and I didn't know anyone that didn't like him. He was about 8 or 9 years older than me (27 vs 18) and I had a lot of respect for him. I'm sorry to hear that he died. SGT. Stern, do you have any other details?
