1/39 Inf (M), 8th Infantry Division, Winter 1989

Yet another splendid image from the Bruce Van Hoozen archives, this one of Captain John Farmer and Charles Stoner on maneuver somewhere in Germany. Note, if you will, the snow; the clouds touching the low ridge behind them about two clicks out; and the fact that they and the driver are the only living things you can see in appears to be at least a five square kilometer patch of central Europe.

Don't see too many 8th ID patches these days!
