Jeff Melton and Raeford Kimmich, CSC Anti-Tank Platoon 1981

Sad news today about Raeford Kimmich from Jeff Melton , who's in Ohio these days.

Jeff sent a photo of the anti-tank platoon - I'd have surely been in those tracks at some point.

This picture was taken on the berm in front of CSC AT Platoon barracks around 1981.

I was also in the same squad as Chuck Braziel and was there when he got burnt when he walked behind an ITV as it was fired. 

I also want Chuck to know that SPC Kimmich was killed in an accident on July 24, 2013. I was Kimmich's roommate in the AT Platoon. His ex-wife contacted me yesterday (8/1/2013) to tell me. He lived in NC and was on his motorcycle. A van pulled out in front of him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. RIP SPC Kimmich.
