SGT Thomas A Grimes, Transport Platoon, 1/39 Inf

And now we're reaching back to the Viet Nam era -- in Baumholder FRG during 1967, 1968 and 1969 -- with news of Thomas Grimes, who served with Paddy's Gang in the Transport Platoon (as we knew it in my day). Ziggy, Alpha Co 1/39 Inf

I had a couple emails from Ziggy, but I was late in posting them due to the same old reason (smoked my database and am still catching up).  Anyway, the web beacon has worked its magic and we're back in touch again, which is cool because we were in Alpha 1/39 Inf at the same time.  I've included some notes from his earlier emails, below.

1st 39th Alpha Company, 2nd Platoon, 3 Squad -- we got flown all over the place / quick reaction team
